JROTC to host car wash

Mattoon JROTC has scheduled a car wash from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 30 at KC Summers at 19th and Broadway. It’s a free-will donation and proceeds will benefit the wide range of events, including the military and senior ball, and various competitions.

MMS softball, baseball information released

MMS Softball Tryout Information: Tryouts for 6th-8th grade girls to be on the MMS Softball teams (JV and Varsity) will be on Monday, July 30 from 8:30-10 a.m. and Tuesday, July 31 from 8:30-10 a.m Practices will then begin on Wednesday, Aug.1, Thurs. Lemonade turns into sweet profit for young entrepreneurs

Fourth grade students at Riddle Elementary School recently sold ice-cold Lemonade on the playground as part of a final project after reading the novel, "The Lemonade War." This coincided with a unit on economics. Students participated in activities in which they marketed, produced, and sold the Lemonade. After five days of sales, the students raised $1,710.00. Sign up for MHS athletics opens in July

The MHS Athletic on-line registration will open on July 1, 2018 at noon for all athletes who want to participate during the 2018-19 school year at Mattoon High School. This is mandatory as that is how forms are signed, roster are generated, and text messages are sent to parents/athletes. This program also keeps track of physicals and sends reminders when they are expiring. St John's former student athletes can use the same account . . .
