MAP hosts forum to discuss language development

Mattoon Area Preschool at Hawthorne hosted a Parent Forum on Nov. 30. Our focus for the evening was driven by the results of a survey. Students browse PAWS store for gifts

Mattoon Middle School students had the opportunity to shop for gifts for friends and family or treat themselves to some merchandise at the Christmas Paws Store last week. The store, hosted in the MMS commons, offered a wide variety of merchandise. A small sampling of the items included toys, bird feeders, sunglasses, clothing and food. Wright's calm approach applauded

School district nurse Vicky Wright was honored Dec. 1 for her quick actions in treating an injured student following the Sept. 20, 2017 shooting incident at Mattoon High School. Wright rushed to the aid of a student who had been shot, treated his injuries and comforted him before he was rushed to the hospital. The student is recovering and has returned to school.
